BASIC JELLO SHOT MAKING DIRECTION


Ingredients & Methods:

  • 6 ounces of spirits
     
  • 6 ounces water
     
  • 3 ounces Jello (small box, any flavor)
     
  • 3 ounce Dixie PAPER Cups

     
  • Pour the water and vodka into a saucepan and raise it to a boil.
     
  • Stir in the jello and make sure it totally dissolves.
     
  • Put the jello liquid into a pitcher for easier pouring.
     
  • You'll need to pour the jello into the small Dixie cups.
     
  • If you let the jello sit in the refrigerator in one big bowl then the vodka will separate and you'll have some crappy shooters. (Use the little cups!)
  • Let them chill in the refrigerator for about 5-6 hours
  • Use paper cups, you can tear them open to get the Jello
  • Watch the Jello liquid carefully, it boils over fast
  • Make sure you have lots of space in the refrigerator
  • Allow plenty of time, it takes awhile
  • Speed things up by doubling quantities: 12 oz vodka, 12 oz water, 2 small boxes of Jello (or 1 large box)
  • To give you an idea of quantities, this is how much we used:
  • 20 small Jello boxes (3 ounces/each)
  • 2 handles of vodka (half gallon/each)
  • 400 Dixie Paper Cups (3 ounce size)

     
  • 6 small Jello boxes (3 ounces/each)
  • 1 liter of vodka
  • 84 Dixie Paper Cups (3 ounce size)
